Start with the merchant account, work-email check and store-domain proof. The current signup is free and does not ask for a card.
Who supplies the plan
The Merchant Plan is supplied by GOV ASSIST PTY LTD trading as TRUSTEDSITE, ABN 97 697 294 410. BuyerProtection is the product name. Billing questions go to support@buyerprotection.com.au.
Subscription and renewal
The current signup does not ask for a card or create a renewal. Any paid checkout must name the provider, amount, currency, interval and current terms before the merchant agrees.
Activation
BuyerProtection starts paid access after the provider's signed confirmation matches the correct merchant account and plan.
What is included
The plan provides access to the merchant software and workflows then shown in the account, which can include merchant verification, public store proof, read-only commerce evidence, Order Passports, issue handling and billing management. Availability can depend on a supported integration and a complete merchant record.
How protection works
The Merchant Plan opens software and merchant tools. TrustedSite Verified, BuyerProtection Guaranteed, reserves, claims and chargeback outcomes each follow their published rules and authorised decision.
Cancellation
The current free signup creates no paid subscription or renewal. Any later paid plan will show its cancellation path and confirmed provider state before payment.
Billing errors and refunds
Report a duplicate charge, wrong amount, unauthorised use or service failure with the merchant account and payment reference. Refunds are assessed against the verified payment record, service supplied, these terms and rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law. Nothing here excludes those rights.
Merchant responsibilities
The merchant must provide accurate business and domain information, protect account access, use only authorised commerce connections, avoid uploading unrelated customer data and promptly correct a material change. BuyerProtection can restrict access to protect customers, evidence integrity or the service while a serious issue is reviewed.
Account, email and domain authority
At signup, BuyerProtection records the accepted terms version, time and purpose. The work email is confirmed before sign-in, then a short-lived DNS TXT challenge proves control of the submitted store domain. TrustedSite Verified and BuyerProtection Guaranteed continue through their separate review paths.
Private shadow pilot
A shadow-pilot request records the authorised principal, consent version, time and source. BuyerProtection uses read-only, field-minimised order, fulfilment, refund and reconciliation evidence to measure evidence quality and incident handling. Customer records stay private; public warnings, protection, partner disclosure, external actions and financial attribution remain under their separate authorities. The merchant can withdraw in the BuyerProtection account or embedded Shopify app; a later pilot needs fresh current consent.
Changes and contact
The checkout and account record should retain the terms version accepted for the subscription. Material changes are notified as required. Questions, cancellations and billing disputes go to support@buyerprotection.com.au; formal complaints can use the published complaints route.
Start with proof
The merchant account starts free. Any paid plan appears as a separate, explicit choice; Guaranteed remains an earned status.
