Check the live result before you rely on protection.

TrustedSite Verified proves the merchant. A live BuyerProtection Guaranteed result separately tells you when an eligible order has a BuyerProtection claim route.

01

Availability

The live result is the offer.

Rely only on a store result that explicitly says BuyerProtection Guaranteed and links the operative schedule. If the result does not say Guaranteed, BuyerProtection protection is not attached to that order.

02

The status

Guaranteed must be active at checkout.

Unknown means no public proof yet. TrustedSite Verified means merchant proof is live. BuyerProtection Guaranteed is a separate order-backing state. One never silently becomes another.

03

The order

The active schedule sets the limit.

When Guaranteed is available, the linked versioned schedule states who can use it, covered stores and purchases, territory, purchase cap, claim window, exclusions and the evidence required.

04

The evidence

A claim still needs evidence.

Keep the checkout result, order confirmation, payment record, delivery or fulfilment history and the merchant replies. A screenshot of a badge without the matching order and active terms is not enough.

05

The claim path

Start with the merchant. Keep the answer.

Use the merchant's refund and support path first unless the active terms say otherwise. A BuyerProtection review must bind the claimant, order, status at purchase, evidence, decision and any appeal or complaint route.

06

Caps, windows and exclusions

Use the linked schedule.

Every active result links the operative cap, deadline, exclusions and evidence rules. If the result has no complete linked schedule, treat the order as not backed and ask before paying.

07

Other rights

Keep every existing right.

Australian Consumer Law, merchant refund rights, card-scheme processes, bank disputes, marketplace protection and PayPal processes continue alongside BuyerProtection.

08

Changes and questions

The version at checkout governs the promise.

Later website copy cannot manufacture earlier coverage. Check the live result before payment and keep its linked version with the order. If the status or wording is unclear, ask before paying.

Before money leaves

Check the result. Keep the version. Then decide.

Verified tells you who the merchant is. Guaranteed must separately tell you whether this eligible order is backed.
